Profile
Hello! I’m Ada, a graphic designer, illustrator, and multidisciplinary artist based in Boston, MA originally from the Bay Area, California. Currently I am pursuing a future in graphic design and studying at Berklee College of Music, working towards a Bachelor’s degree for Game and Interactive Scoring Media as well as a minor in Creative Coding. As a designer, I strive to make design accessible for everyone and create a safe space for queer, disabled, and people of color.
About my Professional Work
I have six years of experience in designing posters, merchandise, album covers, drum slips, logos, and magazines. As both a musician and visual artist, I possess a unique skill set that enhances my design and marketing capabilities. I held a position at Berklee, where I created course graphics, and I have successfully completed freelance projects including product graphics such as drum slips, album covers, posters, and flyers. My passion for visual arts drives me to explore new creative avenues, and over the past year, I have also gained experience as a concert photographer.
In addition to my artistic pursuits, I have been teaching chess and mathematics at various schools in Boston, and I have spent four years as a music and design instructor. I am deeply committed to community engagement, exemplified by my leadership of a book club and literature community that has grown to nearly 2,000 members over the past three years. The management and communication skills I have developed through these roles enable me to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
About Me
I enjoy reading in my free time, my favorite book at the moment is The Housekeeper and the Professor by Yoko Ogawa. My many hobbies include dance, figure skating, bouldering, chess, and writing. I'm big into research and write articles ranging from culture, linguistics, and science. I also have a passion for visual media including movies and shows! My favorite show of all time is Gilmore Girls and I always love a good coffee.
Reviews
“Having a logo that matches your brand and artistry is so important. I told Ada the ideas I had for my logo and asked if she could create something to a similar effect. Every single sample she sent me was so incredible—it was hard to choose!!! She’s incredibly talented and whatever you have in mind she can make reality :).”

My Process
Research
I find this to be the most important step in the process, and I take care to research the client as well as their industry to create work that makes them stand out. Whether this is for a personal project or commission, this step helps me focus on the objective of the design.

Drafting
Sketching creating drafts and multiple iterations of the same idea helps me work towards creating a final draft. This also helps me find composition ideas as well as see what works on a fundamental level.

Final Draft
It's so fulfilling to have a clean final draft of my work. For things like product or merch design, I like to create a mockup to bring my design to life.
